I began my journey in martial arts when I was 5, starting with Taekwondo under Grandmaster McCarthy. I chose Taekwondo to learn to defend myself and others. Since then, I have continued practicing the art until leaving for college. I earned my first black belt in the year 2014 and started helping instruct the students as well. I enjoy learning and developing my skills as I help others learn along with me. I started learning the Filipino stick martial art of Senkotiros Arnis in 2018 and earned my black belt in that discipline a couple of years later. Learning and teaching Taekwondo under Grandmaster McCarthy has been a privilege and honor. I hope to acquire more skills and hone the ones I have, and am proud to be counted among the instructors of his school.
