Following in my father and brother's footsteps, I started my martial arts training at the tender age of 2 years old. Much like my brother who learn to walk on our father’s instructor’s martial arts school floor, I followed the same tradition learning to walk in our families very own school. With my mother’s loving touch and care, she jumpstarted my martial arts career by teaching and working with me on punches, kicking and flexibility until my father took over my training on my 4th Birthday. I was obsessed and found myself mimicking every single move, block and kick my father executed. Overtime, I competed in my first Taekwondo tournament as an Orange Belt and gracefully received 3rd place in forms and 1st place in Olympic sparring. Since then I have competed in over 40 local Tournaments , 15 State Championships and 3 Junior Olympic Championships. In July 2003 as a green belt I took 1st Place at the Senior/Junior national AAU championships, making me the youngest national Champion in our school.

I achieved the rank of First Poom (Junior Degree Black Belt) in December of 2005 at the age of 10 years old. Upon receiving this rank, I would go on to help teach the future generations of martial artist having a hand in training National champions, Junior Olympic champions, AAU team trial candidates, and so on. As for myself, I would go on to earn several more Texas State Championship Titles, two Junior Olympic championships, and the Dallas Grand Championship award in Olympic style competition. In 2008, I would become the youngest member in the organization of Senkotiros Arnis International to earn the rank of Lakan Isa (1st Degree Black Belt) while breaking multiple records set by their much older members years prior.
